"A CIEL OUVERT" can be translated as "let's open the sky gate"!!?

Tandem paragliding is the way for everyone to fly in the air : no experience necessary, available to all ages. No motor, no noise, just the wind on your face and a feeling of flying in a completely free way.

The inflatable wing that suspends you and your pilot/instructor is a hi-tech material wing. After taking off, you ride in a comfortable harness while your pilot steers the wing.
The passenger is seated in front of the instructor. This allows a full unobstructed view of the flight, and access to all flight controls.
Main spot of take off : Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet (Isère), not far from Chambéry or Grenoble, close by Crolles. Landing spot: Lumbin, 700m lower.
But you can ask us for anothers sites in Isère or Savoie.

The flight will last between 15 minutes and 1 hour (or more!!!), depending on weather conditions and the tandem flight package you choose:


We propose 3 kinds of flights:

1- First flight
First we will spend few minutes explaining the taking off and landing technics, and what is your part in the work. Run! Don't jump! Sooner than you expect, we will be in the air, and sitting in our comfortable harnesses to enjoy the flight of a lifetime.
Tandem Flight lasts a minimum of 20 minutes.
Price: 70€. Group of 3 persons and more: 60€ .

2- Pedagogic flight
It's also a discovery first flight, with something more: it will be your first paragliding lesson!!! your instructor will give you the first rudiments of flight mechanic, aerologie, and pilotage.
The instructor manages the take off and landing, but in the air the passenger can take control of the brakes and steer the paraglider.
Tandem pedagogic Flight lasts about 30 minutes.
Price: 85€. Group 3 persons and more: 75€.

3- Long flight
You take a "pedagogic flight", you add an amazing "air-cross" above the crests, and you obtain the best and most complete introduction to the world of paragliding.
Everybody can choose this flight: for very determined people, or for the people who have already an experience (even a small one) of free flying ( paragliding, hanggliding or parachute).
This kind of flight demands particular weather conditions.
Price: 140€. Group 3 persons and more: 120€.

F.A.Q.

Who can paraglide?
Just about anyone can fly a paraglider. You do not have to be particularly strong or physically fit. If you can ride a bike you can paraglide!

Is paragliding cool or impressive?
Paragliding is not like bungee jumping, base-jumping or skydiving. We do not jump off cliffs, bridges or out of airplanes. Because there is no sensation of falling most passengers are surprised with both the serenity and peacefulness . Our pilots/instructors are very skilled, and you'll feel entirely secure.
But for people who want some thrills, they'll just have to ask the pilot for more sensation....

Where?
We generally fly from Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet. But it's possible to fly from others sites in Isère or Savoie:
1- for example: the flight will be better at 6 o'clock PM from Allevard than from St-Hilaire because the orientation of the site in relation to the sun.
2- that's the passengers' choice, with the pilot's agreement.

SAINT-HILAIRE-DU-TOUVET is a village located close to GRENOBLE or CHAMBERY. Every year, during the third week-end of september, thousands of people come for attending the famous "ICARE FESTIVAL", world-wide show of free-flying.
